This office location was designed as a workplace for builders—rooted in Turner’s legacy and forward-looking culture. The design concept drew inspiration from Turner’s historic role in advancing construction techniques, particularly its pioneering use of concrete. This influence shaped both the material expression and the sense of permanence throughout the space.
Planning was carefully crafted to foster connection across teams. Collaborative hubs act as anchors, linking individual work zones and encouraging interaction between different groups. Branding elements throughout the workplace highlight Turner’s deep connection to Philadelphia, weaving local history into the fabric of the design.
As Design Leader, I guided the design team and provided oversight and mentorship throughout the process, ensuring the concept carried through from planning to documentation. This approach not only upheld design excellence but also empowered the team to grow alongside the project.

The distinct challenges of this floor plan became an opportunity to amplify Turner’s vision of a workplace that fosters connection and community. We established a central circulation avenue that seamlessly linked both sides of the workplace, anchoring it with open collaboration zones at each end. At its heart, the kitchen and hub created a natural gathering point—an inviting space for employees to meet, recharge, and connect. Along this avenue, key connection points offered additional meeting areas and prime zones for collaboration, reinforcing a workplace designed to bring people together at every turn.
